Russia: World’s Largest Aircraft Museum


On 12 June, a series of Russian military aircrafts, from the simplest to the most modern one, are gathered in the Central Air Force Museum at Monino city, Russia making the museum one of the world’s largest aircraft museum.

There are all 187 aircraft collected, among them, any aircraft showed at the Central Air Force Museum is a page in Russian history. At that time, Monino is the only city where nearly all the Sukhoy, Tupolev, Yakovlev and Mikoyan-Gurevich aircraft are on display. The Central Air Force Museum has ever organized some diverse and exclusive exhibits and also boasts extraordinary aircrafts. The Central Air Force Museum will open to the public once again on the third Sunday of August, when Russia celebrates Aviation Day. The museum’s guides admitted that it would take more than a week to discuss each exhibit in full.

There are all 187 aircraft are displayed at the Central Air Force Museum in Monino.
